Wow it's hot! Pull out the Sprinklers!
Apparently the boys were too impatient to wait for me to find the swimsuits! But in June it's already scorching in Arizona and they were ready for some cooling off. It's so nice with boys because all you need is some water, Crock's and some undies and you're good to go!
Indoor Camping!
Ok, this was my idea, but I think it worked out well! Once we posted all of our housewares and furniture on craigslist.org that last thing that I thought would sell would be the boys' bunkbeds. But apparently I listed them a little too cheaply because the beds were the FIRST thing to go! So...I created a camping room complete with full tent, sleeping bags, camping chairs, "wild" animals spread all around, and even a nature-sound, cricket-chirping CD playing when the boys walked in. They were pretty surprised (having been gone at Papa's for the weekend), but very pleased. We (the parents) were saved from our huge blunder! However, after a few months Jonah questioned, "Mom? Can we get our bunkbeds back?" Oh well, we tried!
This was the official start of many, many garage, tag and estate sales. We sold (nearly) everything we owned in order to prepare to sell our Surprise, AZ home, pay off our debts, and pay for Asher's biomedical treatments with both Dr. Geoffrey Radoff and Dr. Cindy Schneider. It worked too! We officially became debt from this year and have had Ash on medical supplements since then. We noticed so many improvements once he started taking supplements like Omega-3 fatty acids, Vit. A, Cod Liver Oil, and Methyl-B12 shots. We'll forever be grateful to Dr. Radoff for starting us off on this path and for all the people of Surprise that bought all of our junk...I mean, housewares :*)
Papa's Airplanes
The boys love sleeping over at Papa and Kallie's. This last weekend Papa got them wooden airplanes when they ate at Cracker Barrel and they loved them!
Ahhh...Eclipse
Here is the official ticket, badge and instructions that went along with my Girls' Night Out--midnight showing of Eclipse. It was super fun, although exhausting, to attend the opening night. The only sad thing is that I'll have to wait until next November to get my next fix of Twilight...
Team Edward...or Team Jacob??
This was my "girl's night out" with Beth Mortensen and some girlfriends in the Cactus Lane ward. Beth knew a woman who had rented out the entire theater for the premiere showing of Twilight's 2nd installment, Eclipse, and was able to get me a ticket. We had dinner beforehand and then went to a midnight showing. I was sooo tired, but it was worth it :*) Jase says I'm married and can't pick a team officially, but if I could..... :*)
Daddy's Day
Superteacher
This was the first of Jason's callings to teach in the primary--and one he learned to love more than anything. In fact, it was from these humble beginnings that he began thinking he might become a teacher for real at some point. Anyway, each and every child in this class was adorable, albeit moody at times! But nothing the Superteacher couldn't handle :*)
Gift from Papa
Here are the boys playing with their new favorite gift from Papa---wooden airplanes!!! Although these lasted all of 3 seconds, the joy it brought them in the moment was priceless :*)
