Farewell Em!

The girls and I all got together at Missy Kapitula's (Margaret's mom) in Sandy, UT recently. Emily and her family are moving to Arizona soon and we wanted to say "goodbye" before she left. Missy was super nice to host and had prepared gifts for all of us and treats a plenty! She was VERY gracious and it was so good to see her again too! Kris was happy as always and doing well as a 1st grade teacher and Relief Society President in her ward. I'm so happy that we've all kept in touch all these years since Alta High School days and wish Em all the best. I hope she can endure the Arizona heat better than I did! Good-luck Em!

2011 Utah County Parade of Homes

Sonya, Meg and I enjoyed going to see multiple homes on two different occasions during the Utah county parade of homes this year. Unfortunately, we got lost a few times as our GPS failed us due to newer home development areas. Apparently they weren't "on the grid." Not good for girls that get easily lost :*) But we managed to view some spectacular, large homes in Saratoga Springs and the Highland area. One had a backyard that looked like a soccer field...literally! I also really liked the corkboard wall of a craft room and the music room complete with a beautiful oak grand piano and windows galore! It was amazing. Looking forward to the Salt Lake parade as well!

Our New Marley Park

I decided to take the boys over to Daybreak in South Jordan, UT. It is so like Marley Park in Surprise, AZ it's not even funny! Trails, cute Craftsman-style homes, a lake, biking trails, the works! We rode scooters around and found this cute park where we decided to stop and swing :*) It was pretty hot so we didn't stay long...but long enough to make yet another sweet memory!

Daddy's Day

June 19th, 2011 was special this year. "Why?" you ask? Just because we were all together. That's why :*) But Jase did get a gift. The boys and I had prepared it ahead of time even! We were in Kohls and saw a Hallmark daddy memory book. They boys decided that would be perfect and we spent all afternoon recording their answers to simple questions like, "If Daddy was a superhero, which one would he be?"

Jonah got into it, but every answer Ash gave included, "and Daddy and Mommy and Asher and Jonah." Every one :*) It was hilarious! So, after green smoothies and breakfast, Jase opened his special book and was thrilled. I hope he felt as special as he is to us. And always will be.

My X-boys

Like brother like brother apparently :*) Jonah was giving me his best imitation of the Wolverine from X-Men and Ash couldn't wait show me his as well! Aren't they fierce?!

Lunch in Boise

While having our HANDLE adventure, Ash and I decided to have our lunch at a local park. So, we crashed some nearby apartments and used their playground :*) There were some other little boys there so Ash had a really good time!

The Hyatt

In early June Ashy and I went on a little adventure. We had previously made arrangements to meet up with Peg Simon, a certified HANDLE practitioner from Seattle, WA. Peg has family in Boise, ID and agreed to meet us there (at her sister's house) to do an official evaluation for Ashy and create a detailed, unique HANDLE program just for him. Of course this all cost us a pretty penny, but I'd learned about HANDLE a year ago in Arizona and wanted to try it.

Asher LOVED the Hyatt Place hotel. He loved the elevators, the food, locking and unlocking the door with our key card, and finally...the SINKS. He's obsessed with water faucets right now and couldn't get enough of it all.

The Boys Turn

So after watching me spend hours editing photos for the Reeves' photo shoot, the boys decided they wanted one of their own!! Not one to argue when photography is concerned, we promptly headed outside to a nearby field and shot away :*)

Reeves' Photo Shoot

This month my sister, Megan, asked me to take some pictures of their family. It had been a while since I'd done a photo shoot, but I dived in regardless :*) Digital photography is a hobby/passion of mine and I always love learning and experimenting on others as much as possible! We decided to take the photos in a nearby field in Lehi, UT by their house. And after pushing through hot weather (and a very tired Vera) we ended up with quite a few beautiful photographs of them. Thanks guys!
