Back on April 4th, Jase and I met with the kind people at Property23 in Orem, UT. We had been researching and wanting to get into real estate investing and decided to just take the plunge and get a real education. Well, it certainly has been! This is our first rent check we received from Barrington Real Estate (our property management company) the end of May--yeah! It's been a bit bumpy and not as easy as we thought (life never is!), but everything is going well so far. By the way, our property is at 4724 Terrace R, Birmingham, AL 35208. It is 1398 square feet with 3 bedrooms and 1 bath. It's got cute blue wood siding and a red top and shutters. Wish us luck!
Entertainment Restored
Well, we finally gave in and bought a flat-screen, plasma, big-screen, large, huge, 3D, high-def (anything else?!) T.V.!!!! Since we sold our T.V. back in Provo we'd been living with computers and a projector. But we sold the projector in Arizona to help us move and were left with nothing.
When we got to Utah, my mom and Renee kindly donated their old T.V.s to us, but we couldn't use them to play the Wii as a family. SO...long story short (I know, too late) we found this one on Amazon and the rest is history. Actually, to continue the long story, this Panasonic ended up having "issues" and we had to return it for a Samsung. But they essentially look the same. We love the Samsung better. It's awesome and amazing. We'll have it forever. Ok. Done.
(P.S. In case you're wondering, we initiated our T.V. by watching Jurassic Park for family night...edited of course :*)
Big Brother-of-the-Year Award goes to...JONAH
He's not in this picture, but he's very significant. Yes, it's JONAH! For weeks after Ashy's 6th birthday Jonah consistently created marble roller coaster tracks for Ashy's amusement (since he couldn't make them for himself). In fact, I don't think he would have loved this toy as much if Jonah hadn't dedicated his time and energy in service. So "thanks" Jone for being the best big brother ever!
I Am Blessed
Sorry for the lack of pictures, but contrary to what's displayed here I did eventually look awake and we had a really good time! The boys surprised me with breakfast and jewelry!! My favorite :*) Jonah and Ash got me a locket necklace (which I had to promptly fill with their pictures!) and Jase surprised me with a 1/4 carat diamond ring! It was beautiful! And I promptly wore all of them once I got the necklace untangled :*) Thanks Guys for making me feel SO special. (p.s. I love you too!)
Just A Typical Day
This is how most of our summer mornings have been going lately: the kids playing together (they LOVE rolling up in blankets), drinking green smoothies, and cuddling. I like that last part the best!
