Halloween Fun

We enjoyed spending Halloween with Meg, Zeb and Baby Vera :*) We first went to Thanksgiving Point and enjoyed taking pics (my favorite part!), blow-up slides, bouncy houses, and corn mazes. Afterward we took the kids (along with Renee's family) out trick-or-treating in Lehi. Meg's neighborhood is amazing...two houses even provided hot cocoa and hot dogs! Lots of scary fun!

Feeding Frenzy at Blue Coat

We carpooled with Meg and Baby Vera over to Daddy's work to partake in some free candy...I mean trick-or-treating! The kids got a pretty good haul by the time it was all said and done...and we even managed to get some cookies and pop before the fire alarm went off! Seriously.

The Actual Day

The scary, terrrifying, black, face-less Phantom......and the banana. We'll have to come up with a theme for next year :*)

Halloween Prep

These three pumpkins practically became part of the family for the whole month of October! We spent the first part of the month picking them up, then Jase gutted and cleaned them in the middle of the month, and finally we carved them right before Halloween. We enjoyed filling them with light a few times outside and then it was November!

My pumpkin turned into a cute mummy that didn't require hardly any cutting (smart move on my part I think!) and Jonah used a scary bat template that Daddy helped with. Ashy drew a face on his and then named it Ethan the next day while it sat in his room. We did eventually carve it as well. I think the boys really enjoyed our pumpkins this year!!

Fall Photo Shoot

Just wanted to share a few of my favorite photos from the Bolinder photo shoot. They were such a sweet family and it was my pleasure to meet them and create some photography.

A Sweet Reminder

When we were driving in the car recently, Jase noticed this on the back of our Saturn's passenger sun visor. Jonah wrote it out one afternoon many years ago with our label maker spontenously and we've kept it ever since :*) It was simply a reminder to us that, although our children are getting older, inside they're still so full of love and innocence. They will always look up to us for guidance and we need to take that role seriously as their parents. It's worth it to do whatever it takes to always end every day on a good note and keep that love and sweetness within our family at all costs. Usually I've found that whenever one of our children acts upset all they really want is to just be hugged...to be reminded how much we love them. And we do.

Spooky River Cruise

Although with Center Street in Provo closed off it took us a while to get there, we did finally make it to the Provo River Spooky Cruise for FHE activity night. We waited for 20 minutes, but finally made it on the large raft with about 25 other people. The river guide pulled along with rope down the river and back while we got to view hundreds of carved jack-o-lanterns along the river bank. We also got surprised by a pirate who fell into the freezing water but managed to still tell us a few jokes and hand out candy :*) Finally returning while listening to a very long Halloween poem told from memory by our guide. All-in-all a very nice evening!

Finally...FALL

September of 2011 was SO busy. We moved to 360 S. 400 E., American Fork, UT 84003 with the Wrights, changed our cell phone plans, and adjusted to a new school for the kids all in a few weeks' time. But somehow we managed to survive and came out on top :*) The weather has been so beautiful and temperate this year.

I can't tell you how much I've missed Utah's Fall with all its beautiful colors and leaves!!! So, I couldn't resist dragging my family up to Suncrest Park in Draper for a quick photo shoot. Meg was supposed to be our photographer, but she was out-of-state visiting Katie. But after a quick drive to Walmart to get a cheap tripod, and forcing Jonah to act as a stand-in photographer, we amazingly ended up with a few great pictures!

A Lesson Learned the Hard Way

When you have a 51" flat-screen plasma TV that you want to mount to the wall, don't use a $10 product :*) 'Nuff said! Luckily the makers of said $10 mount replaced our precious TV within a week...but I hate learning lessons the hard way!
